VIENNA, ITALY

Formed in December 2006 (in Vienna, Austria), the Italian/Austrian Rockband SOLRIZE unleashes their 1st album, March Of The Maraboo, on Burnside Records Austria (in February 2009). Their groundbreaking first heavy rock masterpiece arrives from the depths of an Austrian Tattoo-studio reflecting the variety of music genres of the contrary band members Elvis Nine (vocals), Hoss (bass), Mischa (guitar) and Markus (drums) – a brilliant mix of punk rock, hardcore and jam musicians.“March Of The Maraboo” manages to balance chunky riffs, lowtuned heavy bass sounds and psychedelic jams with 70s-flair and modern styles – in a word - awesome heavy rock!

In Spring 2009, original member and Co-founder of SOLRIZE, Mike Groeger (also Drummer in the Vienna based Band HOLLENTHON) re-joined SOLRIZE, to replace Markus on the drums.

With this strong Back-up, SOLRIZE managed it to get 2 nominations for the AMADEUS Music-Award in 2009 (Best Album & Best Band „Hard..n..Heavy“).

Playing Support Shows for ZZ TOP, EUROPE, MARILYN MANSON and GARCIA plays KYUSS in Austria, the band is ready to set sails, all over europe...

In 2010, SOLRIZE got the first Festival Slots. After rockin´ the legendary Donauinsel-Fest and playin´ succesfully at the 2 DAYS A WEEK Festival, the way is clear to rock more big stages in 2011 and 2012 ...

SOLRIZE signed a contract with BLASTZONE Entertainment in America, for re-releasing the first Album "March of the Maraboo", in the US and Canada in January 2011. In February 2011 followed distribution in Spain via Fragment Music and in March, Sweden thru Record Heaven …

Promising News came in, on February 2011. SOLRIZE confirmed heading into the Desert of California to record their 2nd Album, produced, engineered and mixed by Scott Reeder (Kyuss, Unida, the Obsessed) at the Sanctuary Studio and mastered by John Golden of Golden Mastering (Melvins, Primus, Sonic Youth, etc.), in Ventura, CA …

In August/September 2011, SOLRIZE recorded their 2nd Album (MANO CORNUTA) in the US (by SCOTT REEDER) and the Album was released on GO DOWN Records (Italy) in early 2012 on CD and Vinyl, with worldwide distribution and promo …

End of 2012, SOLRIZE relocated the Band in Italy, which implicated a change of members. The actual group is: Elvis Nine (Vocals), Simone ´Sabbath´ Vian (Bass), Michele Fontanarosa (Guitar), Alberto ´3vi´ Trevisan (Drums).
