SCALPHUNTER, 2013 WAM (West Australian Music Industry) nominated best punk band and winners of the inaugural Big Splash competition for 2013 are four likeminded guys from Perth Western Australia who share a lust for hard, fast, ear shattering rock and roll. Recently featured in Blunt magazine as one of the top twenty bands to watch in 2014, SCALPHUNTER play high intensity Punk/Thrash influenced Rock and Roll. With members taking influence from a variety of acts, their combined sound can be likened to that of The Bronx, Cancer Bats, Turbonegro, Ghost of a Thousand, New Bomb Turks, and Rocket from the Crypt. Combining face melting guitar licks with fuzzed out thundering bass lines driven along by immense unyielding drums topped with soaring vocals.

SCALPHUNTER are quickly developing a reputation for their captivating and intense live shows, these have helped propel the band to larger audiences in 2013.
The newly released third self-titled EP showcases the definitive sound that SCALPHUNTER are now becoming renowned for. While it cannot be denied the band is firmly grounded in the punk world they strive to break out of traditional stereotypes and push the limits of what can be achieved creatively.
